Pork Sinigang

The Filipino traditional recipe for the family’s favorite soup dish

Ingredients

½ kg pork liempo slices
1 pc onion, sliced
2 pcs tomatoes, sliced
olive oil *
5 cups water
1 piece radish, sliced
1 bundle sitaw, cut into 2 inch pieces
3 pieces siling haba (green finger chili)
1 sachet 20g MAGGI Sinigang sa Sampaloc Mix
1 bundle kangkong, cut into pieces
patis (fish sauce), to taste**

Procedure

  1. Saute pork in olive oil, onion and tomatoes
  2. Add water and continue cooking for another 20 minutes.
  3. Add radish and sitaw giving at least 2 minutes interval before each addition.
  4. Add siling haba. Stir in MAGGI Sinigang. Bring to a boil then add kangkong.
  5. Season with fish sauce to taste
